With the continued economic growth and development in Qatar, the people who are lived in Qatar (Qatari
and non-Qatari) beginning to suffer from the massive traffic congestion.
Population density leads a lot of traffic jam, because any increasing in
increase in the number of population followed by increasing in cars and
vehicles. There is no doubt that the issue of crowds in roads has became one of
the biggest issues recently, all people complains from it , because a lot of
road users such as: students, staff and workers in the public sector and
private institutions are facing the crowds daily to reach to their schools and
works in a timely manner. From my personal experience, any places take from me 15
minutes without crowds this will take in crowd's roads one hour from my
time and this is big problem because sometimes I arrived late for the specific place.
There were many reasons which
cause traffic congestion, such as: car accidents that impede traffic
as well as road repairs, technical problems that lead to the closure of some
roads and give the driver's license from the 18 years old. These problems
should be fixed, that because we have observed that Qatar is a flourish and
successful country and it witnessing economically, industrially, educationally,
urban and healthy developments. To maintain its beauty and cultural landscape
without distort by crowds. To fix this problem there are a lot of solutions. For
example: convert some areas to direct roads without rounds and light signals.
Also, reform the intersections that cause the traffic density and fix the
technical problems. Furthermore, use of building bridges is easier and better
financially than those tunnels that consume time and effort in construction,
pointing out that these steps may contribute significantly to solving the
problem of everybody suffers. Moreover, many drivers do not know the rules of
the road, so they falls in errors they could have been avoided, then they
causing the crowds which in turn leads to more friction and traffic jam.
