An unforgettable day

Souq waqif is an authentic heritage site and tourist attraction. Last week I spent a nice day with my family in it. I enjoyed myself a lot there and I did different activities. This market contains a lot of goods such as Arabian perfumes, incense, oud, spices, shoes, clothes, popular medicinal herbs, jewelry, gold, nuts, different things in addition to the restaurants and hotels. There is a section for traditionalQatari food I liked it because they make and cook different and tasty dishes such as: hares, marqooqa, madhrooba and mashboos. I tried different dishes they were really delicious. Also, there is an interesting area which was especially built for bits as birds, rabbits, tortoises, parrots and cats. My sister liked the multiple colors of fish and birds. She bought some fish and a couple of birds. Furthermore, I saw several coffee shops where there were lots of people sitting, talking and having hot and soft drinks while they listening to traditional songs and music.

I really enjoyed my visit to Souq Waqif because it looked like an old place with modern things.  That souq was repaired and renovated a few years ago. While I was walking there, I noticed changes which were made to souq waqef. In Souq Waqif you find the old as well as the new. It has even an impact on the Qatari civilization. Qatari society kept up to date and stick to a few days time and beautiful memories of the past. One thing draws attention the policemen which were wearing police uniforms in its old form with (qhutra and sensible), they guide the cars in directions, protect and maintain the security in the market. The parking problems which we were suffering from were solved by providing a building for parking in front of the market. That building consists of three air conditioned floors.
